Bungalow Cafe

David and I were picking up his Dainese race suit over the weekend and ended up craving some iced tea since the day was rather warm. We hopped on Yelp looking for a new place to try since we were in the area and found this place “Bungalow Cafe by Bon Appetea”. We’ve been to Bon Appetea before in Alhambra and I wasn’t exactly impressed by their drinks over there, but I was still willing to give this place a try and I’m very glad that I did.

Their parking lot was very spacious so finding parking was easy. When we stepped inside the place was very really pretty. It had a gorgeous open floor concept and high ceilings with open couch booths on the walls decorated with a few pillows. They also had other wooden tables in the center as well as a bar seating by the front windows that poured in beautiful natural lighting. The walls and ceilings were painted this exquisite palate of muted blues, grey and white. It was very calming and loved the additional golden lighting and wall decor that went so well with the rest of the atmosphere.

We went to the front and ordered honey green tea with half honey and light ice and a green milk tea with light ice.Β They were refreshing and very impressed that their 1/2 honey ratio to tea was really good, it wasn’t too sweet, but the honey wasn’t too little that the natural bitterness of the tea overpowered it. I also enjoyed the very nice floral taste of the tea leaves they used as well as the bitter flavor that naturally accompanied it. It was a wonderful brew and blend of honey. I quite enjoyed it. πŸ™‚ The boyfriend also liked his green milk tea pointing out that their ratio of cream to tea was spot on so that it wasn’t too milky and thick. He could still taste the tea which he really liked.

It’s a little ways off from where we live, but not too far so I would definitely come again. We got our order to-go this time but I would love to sit and hangout a bit the next time we come. πŸ™‚
