Granville

Sister and I originally wanted to get here for brunch, but we didn’t make it on time. Their breakfast/brunch menu looks amazing though and would give them another try during their breakfast hours. We made it for lunch around 3:30PM instead and opted for their lunch menu.

Parking was a little difficult as they were located in downtown Burbank so parking were all side streets or diagonal street parking spots. Downtown Burbank also didn’t have many handicap spots, almost only one per block or something. We ended up having to park very far from Granville, all the walking with my walker and mending leg ended up giving me mad blister on my hand. So be weary and plan carefully if you’re looking for parking spots.

Upon walking up to Granville we could already tell by the patio and host that this place was very classy. The vibe it gave off was calm and full of grace, but also mildly casual. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable when my sister asked for recommendations. He suggested many of their seafood dish and my sister ended getting one of their fish fillets while I ordered The Village Burger, medium rare protein style and subbed my potato fries for sweet potato fries. We both also ordered soup de jour which was minestrone and lobster bisque. Our waiter was even kind enough to replace my sister’s soup in full when a fly got into it without question.

Their minestrone was definitely flavorful and tasteful although a little too much use of different spices in my opinion, but other than that I loved the bountiful vegetables inside of it and how it warmed my stomach. I loved my main entree, the Village Burger. The patty was a hearty piece of 100% Angus beef cooked until a bit pink on the inside until it had the perfect tenderness and pure umami beefiness. It was very delicious, and highly recommend the burger. The herbed sweet potato fries on the other hand, while very flavorful, I found to be too greasy.

Overall, we had a tasty lunch albeit being on the more expensive side and this particular location is very far, but loved how it was designed and had patio seating.
