Vegas Eats

Beautiful Las Vegas with its twinkling lights and hustle of pedestrian feet across hot asphalt streets buzzing in the unconquerable summer heat. There are honks of horns and blaring music from bars emitting from every building we pass by. Water misters from restaurant patios blow out thin sheets of cool water in hopes of keeping their patrons chilled while they sip on beers and martinis. It’s the delicate sounds of a busy summer season at Vegas. Besides the drunken nights, bachelor/bachelorette parties, club scene and shiny towering hotels, Vegas is also one of the best places to try some amazing foods as well.

Beloved Vegas, I can’t help but be infatuated with such a beautiful city albeit probably the sexiest and most sexist city I’ve been to. The city continues to amaze me with its fiery and tenacious flamboyancy, the lively people and the memories that are made here. I love exploring the different restaurants and is always looking for cheap and delicious eats here as well as hitting up all the awesome clubs. Here’s a few of my personal favorite places and things I enjoy doing while I’m at Vegas!

One of my favorite places to grab brunch on weekends at Vegas. They serve amazing morning dishes and my favorite has always been their vegetarian omelette with no cheese and a cup of fresh pressed orange juice. The eggs are always perfect and left a little gooey just the way I like it. They have an awesome patio that faces the Bellagio fountains and always a top choice for seating if slots are available for outside seating.

By chance one of those restaurants you try and fall in love with. Another great brunch spot with a great view and atmosphere located above The Cromwell casino. I love the American Breakfast that came with smashed lemon potatoes, two eggs (style of your choice, toast, and sausage meatballs or bacon). Let me just say this first, ALWAYS get the Orzo Sausage Meatballs as the side. SO GOOD. Delicious aromatic marinara sauce were drizzled atop these delicate meatballs. The smashed lemon potatoes were also amazing as well, gently cooked on a skillet these potatoes are then dressed with a beautifully made sauce consisting of lemon juice, thyme, and parsley topped with a light sprinkle of lemon zest. You can taste every bit of the ingredients used. The microgreen tomato salad was surprisingly delicious and refreshing, I was originally hesitant since I’m not a huge fan of sprouts.

Shake Shack – @shakeshack

Best to hit up when you’re rolling on a budget. They have affordable burgers that isn’t going to cost you an arm and leg AND they can make it protein style for you if you decide to keep watch on what you’re eating. Their patties are pretty bombdiggity, although a little on the small side. I usually get the classic burger with a lettuce wrap, it’s super delicious. The line can get a little long and sitting can be a nightmare to find for a large group so try come during their off hours if possible (not during their lunch/dinner rush).

This popped up within the last two years or so since the last time I was in Vegas it wasn’t built yet. Bruxie’s is also another place you can hit up if you aren’t looking to spend a fortune. If you’re not into the whole fried chicken and waffle thing, let me recommend the mushroom and chicken salad. It. Is. DELICIOUS. Scattered on a bed of fresh cut romaine is juicy chunks of chicken breasts tossed with very aromatic sun dried tomato (gives the salad a nice sweet and tart flavor, very summery) and yummy cut crimini mushroom. The portion of the salad is generous and it will leave you full. It’s one of my go-tos on the menu every time I’m at Bruxies. 🙂 They have a large area for seating so finding somewhere to sit wasn’t hard and it seems less busy than Shake Shack, good for us.
